Val Giovo is a peaceful valley: no through traffic, no mad rush, no noise. This is not just what our peace-loving visitors enjoy but also we locals.

Arrive, unpack, look at the impressive mountain landscape, take a deep breath. Taking deep breaths, discovering, enjoying.

Val Giovo is a side valley of the southern Wipptal and since 1929 a part of the municipality of Racines. Approximately 440 people live in Val Giovo. In the valley you find a grocer’s, accommodation, several restaurants and hotels. The nearby Ungererhofschenke, a bar in an old farmhouse, is something truly special.

Only 7 km from Val Giovo is the town of Vipiteno. While the valley enchants with its rural idyll and tranquillity, the town offers city flair, shopping and many different restaurants.

Vipiteno has motorway access to a number of destinations for excursions in all of South Tyrol (Bressanone, Bolzano, Merano) and beyond (for example Innsbruck).
